The Ultimate Green Smoothie

Yes Yes, I know another smoothie in a mason jar. You will come to learn if you do not already know that I love smoothies and I love mason jars. They are both so convenient. This recipe is filled with vegetables and a little fruit. If you do not like vegetables unlike me this may not be the recipe for you or you can simply add more of the fruit and less of the vegetables. I also incorporated vanilla whey protein in this recipe so it can be used as a meal substitute for a busy morning or afternoon. I did try the chocolate whey protein and did not like it at all. In the previous smoothie recipe, I talked about incorporating flax seeds and why they are beneficial. I have added a picture of the flax seeds that I use below. Materials Measuring Cups Spinach Avocados Kale Whey Protein Flax seeds Almond Milk Berry Mix Recipe(1 or 2 Servings)  1/2 cup of spinach 1/2 of a avocado 1/2 cup of kale 1/4 cup of berries 1 scoop of whey protein 1 Tbsp of ground flax seeds 1 cup

Why Did I Start My Weight Loss Journey???

My weight has always been a challenge for me throughout my whole life. I didn't grow up eating what some may call a healthy diet, but it was good eating. Taco nights which were my favorite because I love Mexican food. Smothered pork chops, collard greens, and mashed potatoes. Farm fresh fried chicken with Amish potato salad and Hawaiian rolls. The worst thing that has happened to me was when they decided it would be a great idea to close the majority of the farm-fresh markets because that chicken was special to my heart. I do not eat chicken now, but I will eat that chicken yet I digress. I am saying this to say these were my typical meals in my family. Comfort food was home for me it what I knew and what I loved if we are being honest. Eventually, these meals caught out with me when I begin to eat and just sit down and study or read or watch TV with very little physical activity. It felt like in one snap of a finger

Berry Spinach Smoothie

Smoothies have become my go-to thing because there are often times where I am rushing and I need something quick to bring with me, smoothies have been that answer for me. With the correct recipes, they can be the most fulling thing regarding your taste buds as well as getting essential nutrients in your diet. You can have a smoothie as a snack, dinner, or lunch. It is convenient and versatile which is why I love them.  For many people who may not like eating vegetables, this could be the answer for that also. In all of my smoothies, I add ground flax seeds which help support cardiovascular health. The recipe that I will have below is for a Berry Spinach Smoothies. It may sound nasty to some, but do not knock it until you try it. I could be biased because I love spinach, but you may just fall in love. Enjoy! It's Me!!!!!

Hey. It's Me..Tiesha I was born on February 22nd 21 years ago, I was raised in Newport News, Virginia.  Yes, I am a Pisces.. the "partner for life" just saying. I am the youngest of three kids and I know the youngest is typically the most spoiled and obnoxious, but I am the outlier to that stereotype. I grew up in downtown Newport News mostly needless to say everything was not spectacular, but I wouldn't change my childhood one bit. Growing up there taught me survival skills and it showed me no matter where you come from you do not have to allow that to shape who you will become. Regardless of what you may hear about this area, it is not all bad.  My childhood was fun from the iceberg lady, hopscotch, dance routines, and with my family, there is always a ton of laughter. I will tell you those icebergs were something special it had me looking for a quarter in every corner of my house. If you haven't had one then you don't know what you are missing.  None
