Realtionships and Weight Loss

I have noticed a sudden increase in couples working out together not just online, but in person. When I see single people working on themselves they spend the majority of their time by themselves. With that being said I decided to share my experiences with relationships since I started my journey.  Friendships At the beginning of my journey, I distanced myself from everybody. I felt that I needed to really focus on myself. When you first begin something you need to first learn to discipline and the only way I personally knew how to do that was to distance myself. I do not regret this decision at all because if I first wouldn't have taught myself this discipline, in the beginning, I would not have made it as far as I have. When you distant yourself away from people you may lose some, but I gained way more. I started feeling whole again, I started glowing, and above all, I started to feel pure happiness radiating through me.

CHOOSE PT

MOVEMENT IS MEDICINE When I was a kid I knew of different career, but I had never knew anything about physical therapy. I knew about doctors, nurses, lawyers, fashion designers, and teachers. Due to these things I was presented with or knew about I literally wanted to be all of these things besides a teacher. When I realized these weren't the careers for me, I had to begin exploring other things on my own. During this time I got the chance to watch my family members with physical therapists and it was intriguing to me. It wasn't until the summer before 9th grade that I knew that it was for me. I volunteered at a veterans affair hospital and I worked with a Physical Therapist there and I fell in love. Through years now that I have learned even more about it was confirmation that this is what I want as a career.  Two Favorite Things About PT In physical therapy your number one goal is to do what best for the client and getting them back to their life as best as you can. The Big Three

I AM TRIUMPHANT!! Guess What Guys?!? I passed my first semester of PT school. Prior to starting this semester I had very little experience with online courses. I had one online course in undergrad school and it was a psychology course. When I think of physical therapy I don't imagine it as a degree that you would get through online courses. Considering, the infamous COVID-19 we all have to try and make it work. I do feel after taking  online course I lost a lot of learning and practical skills compared to previous years during this first semester. Through this experience their were three very vital things I had to remind myself to do and it will be essential to making it through these next three years. One:  Study Everyday This is going to be so important to you not feeling too overwhelmed or staying on top of everything. There will be a lot of information that you have to learn and cramming t all in before the exam will not even be an option. In the beginning I did not study every

Redirection

At this moment I feel stuck. Stuck in this stage of my weight loss. I haven't been gaining or losing any weight. I was so worried about it even to the point that I begin to get discouraged. I was at a point where I thought this was it. Then I remember that every relationship needs constant redirection. Redirection doesn't mean starting over. Redirection doesn't mean that you have stopped, given up, or done something wrong. Redirection simply means you may need to do some readjusting. Often we stick to the same workouts and our body gets used to it. With workouts especially you must constantly evolve and do new things to challenge yourself. Once you do the same things over and over again it becomes easier and you now can do it like its nothing without sweating. With workouts, you always want to constantly challenge yourself. My redirection will consist of me going back to take a look at what I was doing then when I was losing weight compared to now. When I initiall

HOW I GET THROUGH

Music...Music....AND.....more MUSIC. I have always been in love with music ever since I was very little. I didn't watch cartoons because I preferred things that were solely based on music. Yes, some cartoons have music, but it wasn't enough for me. Music is my therapy; the one thing that never fails. It is something about how the words mixed with a nice melody mixed with a choirs crescendo or the runs of an artist that just speaks to me. Music is a mood changer it can make you cry in one moment then the next moment you can't stop moving your hips. It gives me hope when I feel down. It motivates me through school work and definitely a workout. When I first started my weight loss journey I absolutely utterly with a passion hated running. I utilized music to set the bar for myself. The goal was to first make a running playlist and the key challenge was to not skip a song. It was key because I would challenge myself to run for an entire song and then I would walk on the inc

The First Love That Most People Miss

Society has taken over so many of our minds, we look around and feel we are not up to what society wants. We do everything in our power to try to live up to the people in the magazines or the people on the internet. Skinny women want to be thicker so they try to eat everything and hope it works. Thick women believe they are fat so they try to eat less or diet. All women aim to have fat but only in the right places. Y'all know what I'm talking about.  While most men aim to have little to no fat. Many people do this because we feel that we have to in order for somebody to really want us and for society to accept us. In reality, society changes every day and it just goes with what the trend is for that day or even that year. If you reach it for that year or day what about all the other days and years? We can not consume ourselves trying to please others in this world and trying to keep up with the standards and trends.  People in this world will always find a flaw in you no matter
